Good afternoon bloggers,
1245 PM UPDATE: Previous blog below
The main storm will cross northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri this afternoon. The main snow will occur along and northwest of the upper level storm track.
1 -4 of snow is likely on a line from north of Topeka, KS to St. Joseph, MO to Trenton, MO. The 10 -15 snow amounts have been pushed north to Nebraska and Iowa, possibly clipping northwest Missouri. Here is a link to the webcams located at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, MO. You can track the progress of the snow up there.

Good morning bloggers,
Snow Is Possible On Friday
A High Wind Warning is in effect from now through Friday for 50 mph winds and stronger gusts possible. And, snow is in the Friday forecast as a disturbance rotates around a strong and developing storm. The storm is developing east of KC, so there will be a western edge to this snowfall. Let s take a look.
Blizzard Warnings are in effect for far northwest Missouri:

A blizzard warning is rarely issued in our region. The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for northwestern Missouri as a result of the possibility of high winds and snow reducing visibilities to near 0 with up to 3 of snow, blowing and drifting of that snow, and those winds gusting to over 50 mph.

Good morning bloggers,
Today, we will look into the weather for the big game at Arrowhead on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, the big warm up for this week, and a look into the LRC!
Snow In Texas! This picture was taken by a good friend of mine in Tyler, TX. Brett Anthony just became the Chief meteorologist of KYTX and he may not see this much snow in the next few years, not to mention yesterday. He said up to 6 inches of snow fell down there, and the storm is now moving across Louisiana and Mississippi.

Good morning bloggers,
A strange, stretched out, storm system is moving across the area today. It is producing a band of rain up and down the KS/MO state line today. If you live just 30 to 50 miles northeast or east of KC, it will likely only be a sprinkle or two, or dry today. In KC, however a quarter inch of rain is possible. Here is the rainfall forecast today:
The heaviest rainfall and highest rainfall amounts are likely south and west of downtown KC. Some of the amounts will likely exceed 0.50 of rain. The cities northeast of KC have no numbers because this model has no measurable rain.

Good morning bloggers,
Sunday begins with a Dense Fog Advisory. There is some freezing fog as well, with some frost forming on some surfaces providing a thin layer of icing. So, watch out for some tricky slick spots. Plus, we have had some refreezing of the ice melt from the snow. There hasn t been much melting yet, but any standing water on untreated surfaces may have some tricky icing that is hard to see.
Sunny & Rainbow The Weather Dogs show us the dense fog on the Country Club Plaza this morning. Visibility has been reduced to less than 1/4 mile in many areas. The fog is likely going to lift by early to mid-afternoon. There will be light winds to calm conditions today.
