The City of Windsor's Public Works Department is urging the public to exercise caution when using and disposing of "flushable" wipes. The city says that
Residents along Skyline Avenue, Grand Marais West and Randolph in South Windsor have been given orders to remove pools, sheds and fences that have been on their property for years, apparently because they encroach on an alley that was never closed by the city but hasn't been an operating alley for decades.
They City of Windsor reports they are now finished clearing all residential areas following Monday’s snowfall. If you see a road or intersection that needs attention, you are asked to call 311.
City crews are expressing thanks to those residents who were able to move their vehicles into the municipal parking lots. Please be aware that the free parking in municipal lots ends today and paid parking resumes on Friday.
Windsor Fire and Rescue Services asks residents to help them help you by keeping fire hydrants clear of snow. In the event of a fire, it will be faster for fire crews to gain access to the hydrant if needed. Residents are also reminded to keep all home exhaust vents clear of ice and snow to ensure proper home ventilation.
