Major Reconstruction Closes Southwest Blvd. Tuesday
SAN ANGELO, TX – Southwest Blvd. near McDonald s will be closed for 60 days to reconstruct the roadway beginning Tuesday.
According to the City of San Angelo s Public Information Office, work is scheduled to begin on the Southwest Boulevard low water crossing near McDonald’s on Tuesday, June 1. This work will take approximately 60 days, pending any potential weather delays. During this time, access from the Loop 306 frontage road to Green Meadow Drive and the rest of the Southland neighborhood will be closed. Access to the businesses will still be available from the frontage road. Southwest Boulevard is open from Green Meadow Drive to Twin Mountain Drive.
No New Positive Cases Reported Day Before Memorial Day Weekend
SAN ANGELO, TX – No new positive COVID-19 cases to report on Thursday.
According to the City of San Angelo s Public Information Office, on May 27, the city s health department reported zero new COVID-19 infections. This makes the total positive infections since Mar. 2020 to stay the same as at 16,886.
There are currently 51 active COVID-19 infections in Tom Green County. Tom Green County has a population of 119,200.
There are currently 10 patients hospitalized in Tom Green County with COVID-19.
So far there have been 309 COVID-19 fatalities in Tom Green County. 199 of them were residents of the county.
Only One New Positive COVID-19 Infection Reported Wednesday
SAN ANGELO, TX – Only one new positive COVID-19 infection was reported on Wednesday.
According to the City of San Angelo s Public Information Office, on May 19, the city s health department reported another COVID-19 infection. This brings the total positive infections since Mar. 2020 to 16,860.
There are currently 46 active COVID-19 infections in Tom Green County. Tom Green County has a population of 119,200.
There are currently 12 patients hospitalized in Tom Green County with COVID-19.
So far there have been 309 COVID-19 fatalities in Tom Green County. 199 of them were residents of the county.
