CASPER, Wyo The City of Mills Council voiced unanimous opposition Tuesday to a special election that would ask Natrona County residents to take on a temporary sixth cent sales and use tax. The council voted against advancing the resolution at its regular meeting Tuesday, June 8.
The special purpose tax would be used to generate ~$4.4 million for two separate projects:
The Casper City Council passed its own resolution in support of the special election Tuesday, June 1. For it to take place, four of the six municipalities in Natrona County must agree by joint resolution. The other municipalities are Evansville, Bar Nunn, Edgerton, and Midwest.
