With current superintendent still months away from retirement, UISD board holds off on appointing an interim

The United ISD Board of Trustees on Tuesday voted to table the appointment of an interim superintendent for the school district until June 30, 2021, when Superintendent Roberto Santos is set to retire.
But this idea to appoint an interim superintendent in the first place confused the public, since Santos won’t retire for another six months.
