ukrainian military is strong as ever and with all the necessary support, i think we can manage just fine. carley: there is that 40 miles long convoy of troops heading toward kyiv, it has been stalled. look at images of total devastation in kharkiv and it is one of the more horrific things that anybody in the world has seen in recent years. you have been in touch with troops that are fighting on the front lines. what is their moet vagsz like to defeat this energy? they are protecting their kids and their wives and protecting their land. that 40-mile convoy has been a matter of nerves among the people, but knowing russia is not doing great logistics wise, so we ll see how that goes. most of the troops are keeping spirits very high.
velshi starts right now. reports, i m lindsay riser velshi good morning, i m ali velshi, 7 am here on the east coast of the united states. 2 pm in kyiv, ukraine, as the country endures day number four of russia s invasion. just this morning, emergency crews were on the scene of an explosion in the northeastern neighborhood in kyiv. the blast damaged windows and balconies from the first to the 15th floor of the 16th floor building. according to the kyiv city administration, no casualties have been found, although some people have sustained injuries. as the attacks continue, the capital city of kyiv is still under ukrainian control, according to the first deputy head of the kyiv city stayed administration. the ukrainian minister of defense praised both the army and the thousands of citizens who have taken up arms to defend the capital city. earlier, ukrainian president

absolutely. enormously manpower intensive. those tanks are going to be of no value to the russians inside the city. because that s not the way the ukrainians are going to want to fight. they want to fight in the side places, they want to fight in the tough areas. and, remember, every building that has been knocked down by the russians is a potential bunker for the ukrainian forces. so you say 100,000, just to take kyiv alone there. this is something your old friend general mark hertling has been bringing up. is that the russians at least as far as we know they don t have enough troops here to do what it appears to be they re trying to do, to occupy kyiv, which would be to occupy parts of this country. if it is south of 200,000 troops, how do they do that? well, it is the proverbial dog catching the school bus. once they do this, and that goes to the fundamental point, which is why the ukrainians, so good
