Sonoma County Observes Pride Month

June 2, 2021 Pride flags are going up all over Sonoma County. June is Pride month, and the multi colored flag celebrating the LGBTQ Community was seen going up across the county yesterday. In Santa Rosa, flags went up over City Hall and over Old Courthouse Square on the Rosenberg Building. Then last night, the city of Healdsburg hosted a flag raising event at the Healdsburg Plaza led by Mayor Evelyn Mitchell and Vice Mayor Ozzy Jimenez. Sonoma County Pride will be hosting several events throughout the month celebrating the LGBTQ community including a drive thru parade this Saturday, June 5th at the Graton Resort and Casino. Jared Huffman joined a majority of his colleagues today in passing the American Rescue Plan Act, a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus package, sending the landmark legislation on to President Joe Biden s desk.
