Beloit police investigate non-life threatening shooting

BELOIT, Wis. Beloit police said in a Facebook post that they are investigating a non-life threatening shooting that occurred around 1 a.m. on Monday on the 1600 block of Dewey Avenue.

According to the post, a 50-year-old male victim was walking in the area and was randomly struck by shots that were fired nearby. He was transported to a local hospital where he received treatment for the injury.
