City departments will be on site at utility customer service centers from June 13-15, offering information, demonstrations and giveaway items to promote emergency preparedness this summer.
The City of Austin plans to hold a series of Emergency Preparedness Pop Up events in each of the City Council Districts to help people prepare for disaster before it strikes.
Meter keys, hose bib covers, hand-crank flashlights, emergency preparedness kit materials and winter preparedness tip sheets will be provided by the City for free this week.
