Pasay ready should another lockdown persists

In the past few days, baskets of fruits, vegetables, and other basic food items were distributed by the Pasay City Government to residents who were afflicted with COVID-19.  Rubiano said that not only those who tested positive were given, but also their close contacts.  

Pasay mayor admits struggles in distributing ECQ aid

She clarified that the list did not come from them but from the Department of Social Welfare and Development- National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR). “Iyong listahan ay hindi galing sa amin kundi sa DSWD-NCR at natatagalan po ang pamamahagi ng ayuda sapagkat kailangan ipaskil ang mga pangalan na tatanggap sa barangay at sa official website po ng mga barangayat maging sa city hall. Mapapagawan lang po naming ng payroll kung walang reklamo sa loob ng 24 oras.,” (The list did not come from us but from the DSWD-NCR. The distribution of financial assistance is becoming slow because the list of names still needs to be posted on the barangay official website and at the city hall. We can only prepare the payroll when no complaints were filed within 24 hours), the mayor said.

Pasay gov t plans to build new city hospital

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano (Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN) Rubiano said she is now meeting with private partners that will help the city build a new hospital that will be run by the city government. She added that they are now scouting for a location for the new hospital. The mayor admitted that the city’s lone public hospital, the Pasay City General Hospital, already reached its full capacity including the two private hospitals due to the surge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases. Rubiano said that while everything is still in the planning stage, the city government may build a makeshift hospital to help accommodate severe cases of COVID-19.

Pasay City government to set up two additional quarantine facilities

Published April 15, 2021, 1:44 PM The Pasay City government is planning to set up two additional quarantine facilities with 100 beds each. Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, in an interview with ANC’s Market Edge, said the city has four quarantine facilities located at the Pasay City Sports Complex with 60 beds,  Burgos Elementary School with 44, SM Mall of Asia with 132, and Folk Arts Theater with 97. Rubiano said that at the peak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections that reached more than 1,000, the city government sought the assistance of Oplan Kalinga in transporting COVID-19 patients to as far as Batangas. Based on the latest report, the city’s four quarantine facilities now have vacancies, which local authorities said is a sign that the city is “slowly winning the battle against COVID-19.”
