Bars, restos, hotels need Hipco, spl permit to serve liquor

SunStar SunStar File May 06, 2021 ESTABLISHMENTS serving liquor in Cebu City need to comply with requirements set by the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and a special permit before they can resume operation. Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella issued on Thursday, May 6, 2021, Executive Order 130, lifting the liquor ban in the city. Bars, restaurants, and hotels serving liquors will have to acquire a special permit to resume their operation. Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) head Jared Limquiaco said establishments have to send representatives to undergo training as Health Infection and Prevention Control Officer (Hipco). The EOC will conduct the training. Having a Hipco, Limquiaco said would help the establishments to immediately take action should there be coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) transmission in their establishment.

Cebu City to launch community pantry

SunStar pantry April 22, 2021 CEBU City s Market Operations Division will launch on Friday, April 23, 2021, the City Hall pantry at your doorstep that will give away agricultural produce for free. Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella directed Market Administrator Irvin Cabales to launch the project to help residents. Cabales met with market vendors of Carbon Public Market on Thursday, April 22, 2021, regarding the donation of some of their products. He said instead of disposing of these products, they will distribute it to communities badly affected by the pandemic and can still make use of the produce, The first stop of the City Hall pantry at your doorstep is the pier area. Cabales said residents in these areas badly need the help.

This was what Cebu City Vice Mayor Michael Rama said after learning the proposed flyovers and underpass projects to be built in Cebu City. 1. The proposed flyovers, underpass The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has proposed to construct two flyovers that will be built along P. del Rosario Street from the junction of Osmeña Boulevard to Leon Kilat Street, which is 1.1 kilometers long, and along N. Bacalso Avenue corner V. Rama Avenue, which is 1.2 kilometers long. The underpass, which will be 915 meters, will be constructed at the South Road Properties (SRP) Mambaling corner Cebu South Coastal Road.
