Community Appearance Focus For City Of Hillsboro In recent years under the leadership of former City Manager Frank Johnson, the City of Hillsboro has been addressing a number of community appearance issues, and that is expected to continue under new City Manager Megan Henderson. These improvements have come in the form of clearing grown up lots, demolishing substandard houses and, more recently, the removal and trimming of downtown trees and the purchase of a building on the west side of the courthouse square. City Council Honors Former City Manager The Hillsboro City Council met in a regular session Tuesday, March 2, and approved a resolution expressing appreciation to past City Manager Frank Johnson for his service to the city. Johnson announced his retirement in September and wrapped up his six years with the city in February. The council recognized him for a distinguished 42-year career serving Texas municipalities. The City of Hillsboro will be forever grateful for the leadership and faithful service he has contributed in order to improve the quality of life and to help make Hillsboro a better place to live and work, the resolution read.
