La Vergne, Tenn. - The Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted during the regular meeting in May to appoint a new judge to the City Court.
William Cartwright has owned and operated a private law firm since 2015, focusing mainly on estate planning, probate, family, business and criminal law. He is a 2015 graduate of Nashville School of Law and has an MBA from Troy University as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. Cartwright has a history in logistics and business leadership prior to his law experience, and at one time held an executive level position in a car-haul transportation industry company.

It has been a pleasure working with Ron Swafford in City Court. Ron has done a great job and has had an outstanding career.
During the pandemic Ron and his staff worked tirelessly and courageously to keep the wheels on, even while in court proceedings were cancelled.
During our working relations, Ron and I have become good friends. He is a good man with a fine family.
I wish Ron good health and happiness in his retirement.

Jammu: On the direction of Chairman National Legal Services Authority and under the aegis of Patron-in-Chief and Executive Chairman J&K State Legal Services Authority, Justice Ali Mohammed Magre, a National Lok Adalat was today held in the District Court Complex, Janipur Jammu under the Chairmanship of M.L. Manhas„ Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Jammu.
A total five benches were constituted at District. The first bench was presided over by M. L. Manhas, Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu, assisted by R. S. Jasrotia, Presiding Officer, MACT, Jammu and Syed Saifraz Hussain Shah, Addl, Distt. Judge, (Bank Cases) Jammu and it dealt with MACT and Bank cases.

JAMMU: A Lok Adalat was held today here in the District Court Complex, Janipur under the Chairmanship of Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Jammu, and under the overall supervision of Naushad Ahmed Khan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority.
A total number of four benches were constituted at District Court Complex, Jammu. A total 159 cases were taken up, out of which 101 cases were decided with a settlement amount of Rs. 16631577.
The first bench dealt with MACT cases and was presided over by Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Jammu, and by R. S. Jasrotia, Presiding Officer, MACT Jammu.
