Free testing for COVID-19 will be offered each Saturday in January starting this weekend in Arkansas City.
Testing is free and does not require insurance or identification. Testing is available to anyone regardless of whether they have symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has had COVID-19, according to a press release from the City-Cowley County Health Department.
The added testing is part of the Kansas Department of Health and Environmentâs project to expand availability of testing. KDHE is contracting with Well-Health to provide free, expanded testing opportunities throughout the state, the release states.
In Cowley County, the testing starts Saturday and will continue each Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. through January at the West Avenue Church of God in Arkansas City, 403 West Kansas.Â
