James City County Parks and Recreation is hosting a virtual 5K starting Jan. 16.
“Complete your 3.1-mile run or walk between Saturday, Jan. 16, and Saturday, Feb. 20, and submit your results online,” according to the department’s Facebook post. “Do it anywhere, anytime, with anyone or alone!”
Attendees get a commemorative medal and a t-shirt. Those who walk or run virtually at a county park or trail can submit a photo online for an extra raffle entry too.
