Alex Gray, an at-large candidate for the Boston City Council, is blind, but brings a unique vision to public service.

Alex Gray was 8 years old when he lost his sight due to a birth defect.
Going blind made him rely more on other senses, which was itself an education.
âI was not born a great listener,â he said. âI know that because my mom has videos to prove it.â
âI had to learn how to listen to succeed,â he said.
