Metering lights on highway 85. He tells us he has noticed a big difference in the morning commute. We have seen times where traffic is moving relatively well. Were at the end of the commute, but this is only one day. Cant tell if this is an unusually light wednesday or if the metering lights helped. Drivers we spoke with were glad to hear tt caltrans is doing something 250 try to alleviate what is normally a traffic nightmare. Thank goodness. Youre happy . Yeah. Its a mess trying to get up on 85. Its just always backed up and people trying to get over at the last minute. Just a big pain in the butt. Caltrans unconjunction with the metropolitan Transportation Commission and valley transportation authorities spent 13 million to install 15 metering lights twoong cupertino and Mountain View.
