Several members of the community spoke during Monday’s Bemidji City Council meeting on the council’s recent actions and the resignation of Nate Mathews as city manager.
Gwenia Fiskevold Gould was sworn in during Monday’s Bemidji City Council meeting, after which the council continued discussions on water and sewer infrastructure related to Northern Township.
In a special meeting on Friday, the Bemidji City Council approved a separation and release agreement regarding Nate Mathews, specifying that he is voluntarily resigning from his role as city manager.
In a fraught meeting, the Bemidji City Council voted 4-2 in favor of placing City Manager Nate Mathews on leave and removing him from employment by the city.
