The city of Decatur's election District 2 will extend to cover more of downtown Decatur. The city commission, at its Nov. 21 meeting, approved the new election districts for the city.
A warming center will soon be open in the city of Decatur. The city commission, at its Oct. 17 meeting, approved a memorandum of understanding with Frontline Response International to operate a warming center on Gresham Road.

The Decatur City Commission will hold public hearings on the millage rate on June 13 and 21. The city commission, at its May 16 meeting, tentatively approved a millage rate of 13.92 mills for fiscal year 2022-2023 for general operations, capital improvements, downtown development authority operations and debt service.
