Councillors To Hear Indoor Turf Options

No decision or debate is expected Thursday night when it comes to the multi-use indoor turf facility. Thunder Bay city council along with staff will be on the call for a non-business gathering, which allows administration to present its options for the facility, though council members will not be able to debate, decide or vote on any options. The meeting will be broadcast on several platforms starting at 5:30 p.m. including the city’s website. Council decided in late March not to award the tender to the Tom Jones Corporation by a vote of 7-5. The rules are laid out through the city’s procedural by-law and has to adhere to the Municipal Act.
