There will be a contested race for the Post 4 seat on Richmond Hill City Council. Marcus Thompson qualified before the deadline Thursday, according to City Clerk Dawnne Greene, who is also the city s elections supervisor.
Thompson, who ran unsuccessfully against longtime state Rep. Ron Stephens in 2020, will face former Richmond Hill Post 4 councilman and longtime planning and zoning commissioner Les Fussell in the race.
