Woodshop Listening Room Is New St. Elmo Gathering Spot Thursday, December 17, 2020 - by Gail Perry
The Woodshop Listening Room at 5500 St. Elmo Ave. is a small neighborhood gathering place that can hold up to 49 people. It is described as a performance and event venue where varying community activities take place including live music, pop-up art shows, private parties and corner markets and can be used as rehearsal space.
The business was approved by the City Beer Board for a consumer beer license in August, and on Thursday applied and received a carry-out beer permit.
Owner Daniel Pate Russell said with the rising cases of COVID-19 he wants to be set up for take-out beer sales.
