(La VERGNE) The City of La Vergne has approved and authorized a citywide conversion of its streetlight system to new energy-efficient LED fixtures. These LED streetlights will reduce ongoing energy and maintenance costs while providing enhancements to both the aesthetics of our community and public safety. The project is expected to begin February 6, 2023 and should be completed by mid-April.

La Vergne Vice-Mayor Melisa Brown
(La VERGNE, TN) At the conclusion of the La Vergne Board of Mayor and Alderman meeting on Tuesday evening (3/2/2021), Vice-Mayor Melisa Brown officially submitted her resignation. She recently decided to move to another city and, as such, can no longer serve on the La Vergne board. Her resignation takes effect on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen will vote during the April meeting on whether or not to accept Brown’s official resignation before naming a replacement to serve out the remainder of her term which ends in November, 2022. Following the appointment the board will also vote to name a new vice-mayor.
