Peruvian sweet potato exports had significant growth in 2020
According to data published by the Agrodata Perú website, in 2020 the country exported 14,778,703 kilos of sweet potato for a FOB value of $5,427,791. This is 97% more volume and 68% more value than in 2019 when exports totaled 7,491,385 kilos and $ 3,234,965.
According to the report, the main destination for these shipments last year was the Netherlands with sales of $ 1,499,513. It was followed by the United States with 1,043,720 dollars, Chile with 957,140 dollars, Ecuador with 581,314 dollars, Bolivia with 351,862 dollars, Martinique with 331,262 dollars, Guadeloupe with 294,594 dollars, Italy with 158,335 dollars, Germany with 74,031 dollars, Spain with 68,469 dollars, and France with 37,542 dollars.
