That is where the water is going off the concrete lining. The biggest concern though is the area of the emergency spillway and that is right in this area for the first time in history it was used on sunday leading to this massive erosion you could see here in the brown area. That is the cause for a concern. Because it could still cause this concrete edge right on the edge of the reservoir to collapse. Evacuation orders are still in place for more than 180,000 People Living below lake or are rville. The city itself looks like a ghost town with only a few cars in the downtown area. They will hook up one of those giant sandbags to that cable thats below the helicopter and then this chop era long with all the others out here doing this taking part in this operation. They will lift that sandbag and then place it right there in the area of the emergency spillway that is erod ing and causes so much concern. That helicopter just lifted off taking another sandbag. This operation has been going on nonstop throughout the night and this is important work. They are working here with in a very narrow window. They know that more rain is coming on thursday. The other aspect of this operation is trying to got as much water as they can out of lake orrville. State water officials are releasing millions of gallons of water a minute over that main concrete spillway. We have to look at it from down below early this morning.
