Bengaluru: Citizens’ Action Forum (CAF), a coalition of residents’ welfare associations and citizen organisations, has written to deputy chief ministe.
The CAF has cautioned the Deputy Chief Minister regarding measures to fix Bengaluru’s image. They argue that the city will be known as ‘Dirty Bengaluru’ if sewage continues to flow into stormwater drains and garbage is not promptly cleared. If urban poor and peripheral areas do not receive daily water supply and rely on private water suppliers, the city may become ‘Thirsty Bengaluru’. Violations of building bye laws, zoning laws, and other regulations could lead to ‘Lawless Bengaluru’.
Branding exercise without fixing basic problems of Bengaluru is a futile exercise: CAF thehindu.com - get the latest breaking news, showbiz & celebrity photos, sport news & rumours, viral videos and top stories from thehindu.com Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday newspapers.
