LANSING â Election results in Antrim County continue to spawn court action and high-profile tweeting even as state Republicans upheld the process.
President Donald Trumpâs former national security advisor Michael Flynn and attorney Sidney Powell both cited the small northern Michigan county, even as the Republican head of the state Senate oversight committee attributed a temporary mistake in the vote tally to âhuman error,â not fraud.
âThe simple answer given by the clerk of Antrim County still stands,â said Michigan Sen. Ed McBroom, R-Waucedah Township, in a statement Tuesday.
McBroom, who headed a State Senate Oversight Committee that took testimony from Rudy Giuliani earlier this month, stood by the stateâs process and the validity of a Bureau of Elections hand recount on Dec. 17.

TRAVERSE CITY â Grand Traverse County is looking to fill a new marketing and communications specialist position.
The county needs a person who is dedicated to the role, especially as the COVID-19 vaccination comes out and the public will be looking for information, said county Administrator Nate Alger. He has also been watching various departments scramble to meet deadlines.
âWe just need to have somebody who is the centerpiece and who is responsible for updating information or distributing information,â Alger said.
There is no one currently at the county who has both the ability and the time to manage and disseminate information and keep the website current, he said.

BELLAIRE â Voters will have a chance to review a report generated by a recent examination of Antrim Countyâs voting machines, after a judge vacated his order requiring the results be kept private.
Attorneys from the Michigan Attorney Generalâs office â representing Michiganâs Secretary of State â agreed the information should be released, so long as any proprietary source code from Dominion voting machine software is redacted and the Secretary of State be allowed to rebut the report s contents.
Arguments over whether to make the information public took place Monday morning in front of 13th Circuit Court Chief Judge Kevin A. Elsenheimer, during an abruptly-scheduled remote hearing.
