We just let out an actual squeal.
Ok, although we like to think the mania around Krispy Kreme has subsided since they launched in Ireland (never forget the drama around cars honking in the drive-thru queue) we still let out an audible squeal when we heard they are set to open in a number of new locations.
Now, the brand aren’t opening new stores but instead have announced they will have stands in a number of Tesco and Circle K locations around the country, much like they already do in the UK.
Revealing the news on Instagram they said; “THE NEWS IS OUT. Seems a few of you already knew.”

The first phase of Krispy Kreme s introduction to retail stores includes 20 locations
Krispy Kreme has said its doughnuts will be available in a selected number of Tesco stores, and Circle K s Kill North store on the N7 from next Monday, 12 April.
The American company said all their doughnuts are made in their flagship Blanchardstown store and will be delivered directly to retail stores every day.
The first phase of Krispy Kreme s introduction to retail stores includes 20 locations including Tesco Extra stores in Clarehall, Naas, Maynooth and Balbriggan and Tesco superstores in Tallaght, Stillorgan, Bloomfields, Bray and Ballybrack along with Circle K Kill North.
Circle K and the e-charge company IONITY have announced the latest installation of high-power electric vehicle (EV) chargers at the Circle K Kill on the N7.
IONITY charge points for electric vehicles are highly rated in Europe and are built to facilitate ultra-fast charging along motorways.
Exclusive to Circle K in Ireland, they were installed for the first time in 2019 using 100 per cent renewable energy.
The six IONITY charging stations are each equipped with an average of four 350kW chargers for electric vehicles using the European standard Combined Charging System. It means drivers will benefit from emission-free and carbon-neutral driving.
