STRONGSVILLE, OH Police are investigating the death of a 31-year-old man in Strongsville.
On Tuesday evening, a woman called 911 and said she had found the 31-year-old unconscious in an apartment on Whitney Road. The 31-year-old was tinged blue and had foam around his lips, according to the police call sheet obtained by Patch.
When officers and EMS arrived at the apartment, they declared the 31-year-old dead.

The cause of the 31-year-old s death has not been officially determined, though he did have a history of drug use, police said.

Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas Gilson has issued a public health alert due to the rash over overdose deaths during the past month.
According to Gilson, there were 69 overdose deaths during the month of March. While it’s too early to project with certainty how fatal this year will be, Gilson says if deaths continue at this pace, Cuyahoga County could again see over 700 overdose deaths.
The last time Cuyahoga County suffered over 700 deaths was in 2017.
