Marblehead teachers get creative during COVID-19
A look at how teachers are connecting and engaging with students during hybrid and in-person learning

There has been a lot of controversy about remote, hybrid, and in-person learning models during the pandemic, but one thing is clear: teachers have gotten creative in the ways they connect and engage with students.
“We have this new tradition at the end of every class, everybody turns their cameras on and they hold their artwork up to the camera,” said Shirley Huller White, a visual arts teacher at Marblehead High School. “I’ve got my nose up to the computer screen. It’s just a nice moment and it s our little way of building a community.”
