VIS signs first-look with Cine Vaquero
ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS), a division of ViacomCBS, has signed a first-look deal with Mexican actor Luis Gerardo Méndez’s production company Cine Vaquero, which he owns with local producer Gerardo Gatica.

They will create, develop and produce exclusive Spanish-language scripted and non-scripted content for VIS and streaming service Paramount+ in Latin America.
Méndez rose to stardom with his role in the 2013 comedy film The Noble Family, which was one of the highest-grossing movies in Mexico’s history.
He later went on to star in and executive produce Netflix’s first Spanish-language original series, the comedy Club de Cuervos, as well as the Focus Features film Half Brothers. His most recent projects include Netflix’s Murder Mystery and a lead role in the upcoming season of Narcos Mexico.
