The results are preliminary and do not include voters who cast ballots in person on Tuesday or ballots left in drop boxes after 2 p.m. the day of the primary. The count did not include ballots that were postmarked by Tuesday, but had not yet arrived at the Summit County clerk s office.
Registered voters started receiving their ballots by mail in mid-August, and they have until 8 p.m. on Tuesday to decide who they want to advance to the general election. Early voting will wrap up on Friday, Sept. 1, then residents will be required to cast their vote by mail, drop it off or go in person by Sept. 5.
