Carthage, Ill- The Hancock County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrests of two individuals stemming from a traffic stop. According to a news release, on Sunday, August 15th, 2021, deputies were alerted to a suspicious vehicle near an abandoned residence in rural Warsaw, Ill. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle as it left the residence. The driver, 40-year-old Cindy Lambert of Bushnell, Ill, and the passenger, 39-year-old Jason Beans of Macomb, Ill were both found to be in possession of items that had been stolen. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Lambert and Beans had forcefully entered the abandoned residence and stolen the items that deputies recovered. Both Lambert and Beans were arrested and taken to the Hancock County Jail where they were charged with Burglary.
