Fasting for Climate Justice – Fast, Pray, ActJoin the Lutheran Office for Public Policy, the “Wisconsin 5,” and other climate leaders as we advocate together for climate and environmental protections in this year’s Wisconsin State Budget. This nonpartisan event will be hosted on the west corner (State St. corner) of the Wisconsin State Capitol building at 10:00am on Saturday, March 6th. All are welcome! Masks and social distancing are required.
LOPPW, the Wisconsin Five, and the rest of the Fasting for Climate Justice Team ask you to consider attending Saturday’s press conference and support in any way that you are able, including fasting for the day of the event or for just a single meal. Meditative prayers and vocally advocating for climate justice are other ways to show your support.

The Kenosha 4 held a press conference and rally announcing their 22-day fast for climate justice, which will start on Friday, March 5, 2021. They are demanding that Governor Evers’ Climate Justice Budget be passed for our state. The Kenosha 4 are Justin Blake, Joe Cardinali, Andy Berg, and Rev. Jonathan Barker. Lutheran Office of Public Policy Wisconsin (LOPPW) is partnering with the Kenosha 4, and director Rev. Cindy Crane will be speaking as well. Leaders Of Kenosha – LOK is also partnering with the Kenosha 4.
