The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is changing its mask policy.
Beginning Monday, the zoo will lift mask requirements in outdoor areas where standard social distancing can be maintained.
Guests that are age six or older will still be required to wear masks in certain areas including while indoors, during human-animal interactions and in congested areas.
The zoo advises visitors still pack a mask to participate in activities and enter buildings that require them.
On June 2, the day Ohio will lift the state mask mandate, the Cincinnati Zoo will only require masks in areas where humans and animals are in close proximity.
