According to Judge Brehmer of Kern Superior Court, the defense attorneys have asked for a continuance on sentencing for Trezell and Jacqueline West in order to "prepare necessary paperwork."
Two mothers took the stand Wednesday morning in the West trial. The first: Jacqueline's mother Maria Martinez. The second: Latoya Spry Sanders, the former foster mother of Orrin and Orson.
Opening statements in the trial of Jacqueline and Trezell West were given on Tues, March 28. The Wests are accused of six felony counts related to the disappearance of Orrin and Orson West.
Jury selection is set to begin for Jacqueline and Trezell West, the adoptive parents of Orrin and Orson West who are accused of killing the California City boys, on Mon, March 20.
