Premier Gladys Berejiklian described an outbreak in Croydon in Sydney s inner-west as concerning , with six cases recorded so far. There have also been a further two infections in Wollongong, 120km south of Sydney. A series of mystery cases, the source of which can t be determined, continue to worry health authorities also. Ms Berejiklian pleaded for anyone in the state with even the mildest of symptoms to come forward for testing in a bid to get on top of the outbreak.

There are calls for an increase in testing state-wide and in targeted areas such as North Sydney and the city s south-west. Patrons who attended Cibo Cafe in North Sydney on Wednesday December 16 from 11.30am to 12.45pm must get tested and isolate for 14 days regardless of the result. Anyone who was at Casula Mall s Priceline Pharmacy or Coles on Thursday December 24 from 7pm to 7.30pm, as well as the Radio Bombay Restaurant from 7.30pm to 7.50pm, are also required to get tested and isolate until they return a negative result.
