Despite being an unprecedented year with COVID-19 and online learning, 2020 was not Marty s first encounter with virtual schooling, having received a 49 in algorithmics last year after completing the subject via the Virtual School Victoria program.
Marty said he was interested in pursuing data science and artificial intelligence in the new year, but was still vacillating between a couple of different courses . I ve got a couple of tough decisions to make in the next couple of days, he said.

Marty Schwarz received a pleasant surprise when he checked his VCE results on Wednesday morning.
He found he was one of the 38 students in Victoria who had achieved an ATAR of 99.95 – the highest possible result. It’s amazing, I’m thrilled, Marty said. It has certainly been a rollercoaster journey and I m just really happy that we ve all got to this point.
