McClean was later convicted of collecting information likely to be of use to terrorists with a charge of ONH membership left on the books.
The court was told he was secretly taped telling a man abducted by ONH: If you tell anybody, I will come through your front door .
It was disclosure from the court case, which involved three other defendants, which led to McClean being identified as a former soldier.
ONH leaders were furious with McClean for not declaring his previous RIR membership, an omission that led to graffiti threats and tout allegations made against him.
