So the subject, i suppose here is Herbert Hoover in World War Two revisionism. I have to confess my book, the book that this is based on is not really about Herbert Hoover as such, although he does play a rather important cameo role in the proceedings and to some extent the famous magnum opus free and betrayed is definitely one of the main inspirations for the book. I do have to say though, that Herbert Hoover and at least some version of his own World War Two revisionism is actually in the news today. If you can believe that. Ross dwight, bless his soul, has actually just put in a plug for my book very much in the mode of revisionism. In his New York Times column. Although i gather it is it is something of a subscriber only newsletter. I dont know whether its actually going to appear in the print edition or not. But the shtick that he is kind of pushing here by way of promoting my book and promoting World War Two revisionism, is that he says its a necessary and perhaps healthy correct
