The image arrived at Quiapo Church on Thursday, April 22 for a visit.
Quiapo Church Rector Monsignor Hernando “Ding” Coronel presided the Mass welcoming the image.
“Father Nante Tolentino, rector of Antipolo Cathedral and the devotees from their community brought the image yesterday,” said Coronel in an interview.
“Limited devotees may venerate during the week. Intention is end of the pandemic, better vaccine rollout and for those who have died recently of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19),” he added.
Coronel said the image will be staying at Quiapo Church until April 30.
“More than a week is the pagdalaw ng Ina sa Anak (visit of the Mother to her child). Farewell Mass would be April 30 noon by Fr. Tolentino,” he said.
