The community acquisition of Fountain Road Hall has been described as a game changer .
Development group Go Golspie bought the hall following a £147,900 award from the Scottish Land Fund. Members of the public also made funding pledges.
A post on the groupâs Facebook page thanked everyone who had supported the project.
It read: âThis is only the first step and now the work starts on making the hall a fantastic venue for a wide range of events.â

The acquisition for the community of two halls in Golspie should create employment locally, it has been stated.
Development group Go Golspie is set to purchase the Church of Scotlandâs Fountain Road Hall following a Scottish Land Fund award of £147,900.
And the group is also taking over the dilapidated YMCA hall, which is located on the Main Street and is in need of substantial renovation.
