The state funeral will be sunday december 15th. We have live pictures from johansburg outside where mandela lived. It is 6 00 in the evening there ago when mandela died, people have been gathering from outside his home singing and praying and leaving flowers and talking about what he means to the country. On this coming sunday, it is a national day of prayer and remembrance in south africa scheduled for the 8th. The Memorial Service, a large Memorial Service will be held on december 10th. This will happen at the world cup soccer stadium in johansburg. He will lie in state at the official building there in south africa and again the official state funeral is scheduled for sunday the 15th in mandelas home village where he will be buried
