Season in barcelonas popular tourist spot a white van jumped the curb during the crowded early evening hours and witnes witnesses say plowed into a large group of people. Just past by me. My family. Reporter they were among the lucky ones. Witnesses saying the van may have been moving at more than 5m side to side and running over people bodies flying in all directions. The vehicle eventually stopped. Witnesses saying the driver and possibly a second person ran away. We were done on the embarcadero a and got some souvenirs for some friends. Reporter the sidewalks were full but people didnt seem to mind the traffic. Its not as bad as weve seen in other cities. Saw coming from a woman like her, did everything for everyone. Its just sad. She was so sweet to me. Reporter the 81yearold long known for her generosity and big heart was gunned down in her south philadelphia corner store on christmas eve. Today, police announced the arrest of 31yearold Maurice Green of the 5400 block of berks in the killing. Police say he intended to kill buckss grandson believing that he stole a 5 to 10,000 gold chain from him we think he went there with the intention of killing the grandson, he saw the grandmom and at that point he made the choice he was going to kill the grandmother since he was not there turns out the grandson was re had overslept. Employees say he and green new each other from the drug trade. Investigators say Surveillance Video shows green going to and from the store at the time of the killing.
