Maryella Hierholzer is a parishioner in Indiana. She recently moved back to her home state after living in the DC area for approximately 30 years. Most recently she has joined other Catholics in praying outside of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Fort Wayne and also in helping her new neighbors acquire material goods for an Afghan refugee family soon to arrive in Huntington.
Anyone in their forties with experience of visiting the countryside might recall the ways they travelled from one place to another. Boats were an integral part of farming as growers used them to move production inputs and transport their crops from fields to home yards and to the market.
