Plans for the deck include events, recreational classes such as Yoga, Aerobics or Mommy and Me fitness activities, art classes, Movies on the Deck, and more. In addition, beginning July 1, the deck will be available to rent for private events; fees are $75 per hour with a two-hour minimum for Chula Vista residents and $150 per hour with a two-hour minimum for non-residents. The deck can accommodate up to 330 people and features beautiful shade sails.

Schools, Libraries Offer Free Lunches During Summer |

During the 2016-2017 academic year, over 10,000 students K-12 in San Diego County met the eligibility criteria for free meals based on household income, homelessness, foster placement and more, according to data by the California Department of Education. For many students who fall into those categories, school lunches are essential to maintain proper nutrition, but when school is not in session, some no longer have those resources.

The line for a free #Covid 19 test in @thinkchulavista wraps around an entire city block and sometimes blocks entrances to buildings and roads.
