Brigadier General, Mohammed Yerima, Director Army Public Relations made the announcement in a statement on Friday.
Yerima said the decision was premised on the fact that the Nigerian Army (NA) made a lot of progress over the years and needed to re-align for better efficiency.
The Army Super Camps now reflects the nomenclature of the formations and units, followed by the name of the locations they occupy.
Similarly, sub-units are redesigned as Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) followed by the name of their locations.

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has slammed the Presidency and the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Fr Ejike Mbaka.
DAILY POST earlier reported that Mbaka made a U-turn on Thursday against the Buhari government, calling for the resignation of the president.
His call came following the inability of Buhari to solve the deteriorating state of insecurity in Nigeria.
However, responding, the Presidency attributed the recent call for resignation by Mbaka to Buhari’s decision to reject contracts allegedly by the cleric.
Fayose while reacting, described both the presidency and Mbaka as blackmailers and scammers
The former Governor noted that both the Presidency and Fr. Mbaka don’t deserve the attention of Nigerians.
