Perham Health benefits from years long processes of recruitment

Dr. Fiona Axelsson is on her way to becoming a doctor, and she’s already one of three that will be working at Perham Health in the next two years. She’s always had her heart focused on rural medicine and found Perham like a “sister city” to her hometown of Gimli, Manitoba, Canada.

With the recent changes that broadened those eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccine to include those age 65 and older
and the limited amount of vaccine available,
Otter Tail County Public Health continues to prioritize all eligible groups in phase 1A to be offered the vaccine at this time.
Coordination is occurring with local health care partners to administer the COVID-19 vaccine as quickly as possible to prioritized groups, said a news release from Otter Tail County.
