He was born at 22 weeks 2 days gestation, weighing in at 12.7 ounces. Aniken was baptized into God’s family on June 22, 2020. Because of his early arrival, his medical team and family had an overwhelming task ahead of them. From the beginning, Aniken was a fighter! After 294 days, he was released from the hospital on April 1, 2021. Throughout his life, Aniken obtained 451 Bravery Beads that were given each time he had a blood transfusion, medical procedure, blood draw, or test done.
