Disturbing discovery Rochester Democrat and Chronicle © Tina MacIntyre-Yee /Rochester Democrat and Chronicle Irondequoit Police, Monroe County Sheriff s Office and New York State Police investigate Durand Lake where human remains were found earlier today, May 31, 2021. #HumanRemainsFound For hours on Monday, police searched the water and woods around a northern portion of Durand Lake where human remains were found by a citizen early that afternoon. Irondequoit Police, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police used a drone and search dogs at the scene. The SCUBA team from the sheriff’s office also was involved. The lake is a little more than a mile from the Culver Road home where 37-year-old Lisa Shuler was found dismembered a week ago. However, on Sunday, police did not link the two cases. They are still looking for Seth Larson, Shuler’s 40-year-old boyfriend, whom they describe as a “person of interest.”
